For Jon Pertwee's penultimate story, he takes Sarah Jane to an old haunt, Peladon! This time we have the old King's daughter now as Queen and Sarah gives her a good lesson on women's lib. It's another great Liz Sladen story that showcases her independence and strong spirit. Of course the modern series did a similar "double date" when the 10th took Martha to New Earth after he had taken Rose. This time Sarah follows up Jo Grant's visit.
This is also the last appearance of the Ice Warriors in the classic series and they return to their villain status. After their last "good guy" turn in the last Peladon story, they get evil again and cement their status as one of the all time classic Doctor Who monsters. And it only took 40 years for their return to television!
