Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol comes to Doctor Who with "ghosts" of Christmas past, present and future. Of course they're on an alien planet, in the future, that looks like turn of the century England. Amy and Rory are honeymooning on a starship that is going to crash into a planet if Scrooge doesn't turn off the force field. The Doctor proceeds to re-write Scrooge's past to make him a kinder soul in the present. Typical Moffat wibbley wobbley. It's actually pretty cute. The young Scrooge and late teen/20 something Scrooge are cute and amusing. Of course everyone lives on Christmas and we get a happy holiday treat. And there's a flying shark.
