A little boy in a council estate is actually an alien with great mental powers that can turn people into creepy dolls. Typical Mark Gatiss story. After the big story of last episode, this is a nice, smaller,quieter story. And this Doctor seems to have a special rapore with little children, which is played to the hilt here. This very much was a stand alone story, which wasn't alluded to, doesn't have any references to any other plot lines, and doesn't foreshadow anything to come.
