You snake in the grass!
A good snake is hard to keep down. In the spirit of the anniversary, the big bad Mara returns to torture Tegan some more. Apparently the Doctor didn't do a proper job is disposing of the Mara last season, so he gets a second chance. We get some great Tegan-laughing-evilly scenes. And after more than a year in her velvet Trakenite clothes, she changes into some more low cut and short. I'm sure seeing Tegan in her shorts and tube top inspired her to look more woman-of-the-night.
It's a pretty fair story and the snake looks better this time. Guest star Martin Clunes steals the show with his big lips and boyish charm. Apparently he goes on to do other TV shows and gains some notoriety. And boy does he wear some great outfits throughout this story. And can I mention again, those lips!
