This is the story where Donna rips your heart out and makes you weep openly. Finding themselves in Pompeii on volcano day, Donna urges the Doctor to save everyone. To which the Doctor replies he can't because it would be changing history. It's a great moral dilemma story with fantastic production qualities. We also get to see Karen Gillen as a soothsayer prior to her stint as Amy Pond. We also get to see Peter Capaldi before his stint at the 12th Doctor. So this has become a multi-Doctor, multi-companion story before its time. Ironically, at the demand of Donna to save just someone, the Doctor saves Peter Capaldi and his family. And his son is so damn cute!
